In fact, the Houston Colt .45s have already informed me that they wish to release Sammy Khalifa (SS, 17 abs, .176 batting average) and Lou Thornton (lf, 2 abs, .500 batting average, 15 at bats in 1988-1990).

 

Priority for these players is based on Phase II drafting order. Criteria for this list is fewer than 25 at bats in 1987 and the remainder of the careers, or, for pitchers, fewer than 20 ips or 20 appearances.
