11.C.   Protected Player Lists

	1. Prior to the Phase I Rookie Draft, each manger will submit a list of protected players.

	2. Teams may protect the following number of players;
		a) Teams with the four (4) highest winning percentages-18 players.
		b) Teams with the four (4) lowest winning percentages-20 players.
		c) All remaining teams protect 19 players.

	3. Each team is allowed to keep one (and ONLY 1) uncarded player, not
	   counting against their protected roster. Each manager will submit the
	   name of the player when protected rosters are called for. This is a freebie
	   similar to the years when Military players are exempt from counting towards
	   protected rosters. This will help all teams each season, except for the few
	   that occasionally may not have an uncarded player. This change will go into
	   effect for all SPB historical leagues immediately when the next protected
	   rosters are called for.

 	**NOTE FOR SPB-3 ONLY: There will be a special rule during the war years on allowing
 	teams to protect more than 1 "uncarded" player per season, but this will not
 	begin untill the season of 1942. During 1941 only 1 uncarded player (same as usual) will
 	be allowed.  In 42 & 43 you can protect 2 uncardeds, and in 44 & 45 - 3 uncardeds
 	will be allowed. This year is about normal as only one player in 1941, Hugh Mulcahy, lost
 	the entire season due to the military. That is why the extras will not start untill next season.
